THE DOORWAY TO LIFELONG LEARNING
Post Oak presented the unique challenge of demonstrating a lifelong process within a 13 minute video. Compounding that difficulty was the need to translate the internal change of the child into a thorough and interesting image.
Combing research data, expert testimony and student and staff interviews with natural footage and intelligent editing, we created a holistic representation of Montessori education as a doorway to lifelong learning.

MONTESSORI FOR ALL CHILDREN
The splendor of the Montessori Magnet School of Hartford, CT radiates from its core. Consider its first rate facilities, its diverse student and staff population, or its status as a public school and thus available to people from all walks of life. The key to Montessori for All Children was to demonstrate that through the cooperation of government, the local community, the school and families, public Montessori education does work. Montessori Magnet School demonstrates that not only does it work, but it can flourish.

MONTESSORI & INDIGENOUS PEOPLE: WE SHARE OUR DREAMS
Production of this video became a lesson in negotiation and sensitivity. We occasionally shot in slightly hostile environments where we needed to respect requests to turn off our cameras. As a result, we often finished the day with tapes as barren as the unforgiving Australian outback. In the end we were able to assemble a moving piece, giving some hope to those who have none. "Montessori and Indigenous People" shows how the introduction of the Montessori method into a few Indigenous communities is yielding amazing results.

MONTESSORI: PASSAGES
The history and philosophy of Montessori is brought to life in Passages, a lyrical and visual presentation of her own thoughts and words. The exploration of each developmental stage along with the exploration of the country weave together to form the story of Montessori in Australia. From inner-city Sydney to Worribinda comes the story of development as fascinating as Montessori herself.
